How do I file a complaint against trucker for reckless driving?

As everyone has said your best bet is to get the info about the truck. If you can get it's name, and the tractor or trailer # or license plate, you can call the company (google it) and file a complaint. When you call them ask for the safety deptartment. They will take your statement and penalize the driver.

If it happens when you are on the road, get the same info, and if you feel it's a danger then yes, call the police.

Calling the police after the incidence won't make a difference. Call the company, the driver is representing them.

Get a life!! Its a waste of time calling 911, as these numbers are not recognised in the REAL world, and are ONLY an emergency number. What do you mean by a trucker driving recklessly? Find the offending trucker and offer him out to a "Trial By Combat". By doing that, he has the choice of weapon. I personally prefer an 8X4  wheel drive tipper with  a full load of gravel - 32 tonnes. but will settle for a 44tonner!!

The best way to report an unsafe trucker is to go to www.safetrucking.org and click on file complaint.  They will do the rest for you.  They get results.

Go to www.safersys.org, look up the trucking name, then find out who he is insured with and call the insurance company and report him.  It's a win-win.  The insurance company doesn't get a large claim from the bad driver, and the driver will probably be terminated.

Most of them have an 800 # displayed on the back that generally reads: How's my driving? Call 1.800.???.????
