How do I file a police report in the state of California?

My brother was chasing me around drunk with his friend's pellet gun the other day, and he called the cops on me tonight for breaking blinds after he threw soda everywhere...

Who's filing against who? If he is bothering you, lock him out of the house! I don't care if he actually lives there!!! You should have called the Police "the other day"! Now, he beat you to the bunch! I only hope the Police see this as just sibling rivalry!! Both of you, grow up!

Move.  Find a new place to live.  Your case against him is tainted.  Why?  You waited to call, and he got you first.  It hurts your situation very much.

you call the local police department and say, "hi! i wanna file a report." you can explain the situation to them and see what they say... what your brother did sounds like public intoxication and assault.
