How do I fill 2 planter boxes,2 x 2 x 2 foot? nothing too high please?

You can also plant vegies or any kind of herbs. You can evenh plant sweet corns as they don't have big roots. You need morning sunshine in any plants you decided to plant whether flowers or vegies and herbs. Good luck and enjoy.

Open the sodding bag of pigging compost and pour it in. If you're on about plants I could fill a page. Nip down the garden centre, they have dozens of varieties there. I'ts getting a bit late though now for annuals.

Impatients. You can get them in double or single flower,in a miriad of colors, they are easy to grow and easy to maintain.

What about a coloured variety of Petunias or   impatients...Neither grow very tall and give a beautiful display.The petunia has a fantastic perfume and I feel is probably the best flower there is as it is no problem to grow has a lovely display and then there is the perfume too.  A little bergamot amongs them would also be nice.

three quarter fill with soil/compost and plant bedding plants, there's loads to choose from right now at garden centres or car boots etc. like petunias with trailing lobelias around the edges, or busy lizzies, geraniums,etc.etc. and none of these will grow very tall,mix and match. you'll need around half a dozen planted a few inches apart and keep watered well in hot weather (not very likely in the uk),good luck!
