I have a little lighter from a hotel in vegas from maybe 1963 or so (I bought it in an antique shop) and I'm not sure on how to fill it as I'm not very familiar with lighters. It has a spring that holds the flint, I already figured that out and it sparks fine. then there is a hole that I assume opens up to the space where the lighter fluid goes and is filled with insulation. do i just pour some fluid in and let it soak through the insulation to the wick or what?

  1. Open the lighter, turn it up side down, pull on the neck where you strike it so that it comes loses from the case. Then look at the bottom you should see a s***w where the flint is, pull back the padding and use zippo fluid.

    Yes soak the insulation (cotton).

  2. At the bottom ot has hole take something pointed and dig it out it has special gas that sell buy it and throw it at bottom of the hole

  3. Just let the insulation soak up enough lighter fluid to be damp.

I have an old Vegas one that says "I Lost my (picture of a donkey) in Veags"
