How do I finalise a mini DVD on a canon DC201 Video Camera?

Here's the thing, I can Initialise a DVD and record onto the disc but when I want to finalise the option is always greyed out to me, can anyone help please?

What sort of DVDs are you recording to?   +RWs don't need to be finalised, but there can still be compatibility problems.  If there's an option to make something like a Top Menu, try that.

Another possibility is that you're using VR mode.  That doesn't need to be finalised.  Unfortunately, there's not much that can read the disk, either,
