How do I find a drain on a window air cond. unit?

I cant find the drain for my window air Cond. its a whirl pool and the only thing wrong w/ it is it spits water other wise works great can anyone help?

  1. if your windown a/c unit is spitting water your best bet it to realign your unit so that it tilts towards the outside of your house. The pan will drain on its own and you won't have to worry about having to constantly drain your pan. It is normal for a pan to collect water, expecially if you live in a humid environment.


  2. look on the bottom of the pan that is outside the window. Usually there is just a hole drilled to drain the condensate.

  3. most of the drain holes are on the very bottom of the unit.

    Alot of times the manufacturer uses a plug the same color as the paint color on the unit, and they tend to blend in with it too much.Most drain holes are about 3/4 " round.
