How do I find a friend who emigrated to Sydney 25 years ago.?

Have tried all the traditional 'search' methods. He emigrated in around 1982. He was called Keith Trainer. Came from Edinburgh (Scotland) and first known address was Coogee Beach. Was a qualified haematologist when he left Edinburgh. Can anyone give an idea where I search in Australia to find him?
