How do I find a good restuarant for a weekend away?

I am taking my boyfriend away to a cottage for a weekend for his birthday and am trying to find a good restaurant to go to which isnt too far away. The village is Lydbury North. I dont mind driving half an hour or so. The only one ive found is all booked up! Does anyone know a website where you can search for nearby restuarants by postcode?

and on the A49 heading towards shrewbury you have

'The Travellers rest' on the left. a fine place to eat.

Contact the local tourist information by phone or web and they will have a list of good places to eat and stay. I have found them very useful especially if i phone.
