be in person for any school activities? I live in Ohio and I'm trying to find an online home schooling program, but the last time we tried to do a home schooling program we had to attend an orientation and then a science fair. Also, there were loads of field trips. It's been a year and a half since then and I want to do home schooling again, I just want to be able to do it without driving 4 hours to anywhere or having to do a science fair. Are there any like these, that just give you your homework and leave you alone?

  1. Try one of the free online homeschool options. They provide books, teacher support, and often times a loaner laptop and internet connection.

Or you can homeschool privately and pick all your own curriculum.

  2. I am homeschooling my son using our own curriculum.  We teach the things that he has to learn according to our state and then let him pick whatever else he wants to learn that semester (or year) and it has worked really well for us.  He is 6 1/2 and has been working on a 3rd grade level in science and math this year (because he LOVES these subjects and is able to do more of these courses if he chooses)  I would highly recommend doing it this way.  I hope this helps and Good Luck!!!

  3. Why don't you just homeschool without a program, picking and choosing your own materials, books, goals, objectives, subjects, etc. that's what we did and now I'm startinng college early
