I am 27 and I never finished college because I ran out of money. I babysit my sisters' 4 kids usually mon - fri from 6am to at least 4pm. However, I only get paid $50 a week for this. I need to find a job that I can work outside of those hours. I don't mind working overnight. I don't mind helping family, but I can't support myself on $50 a week. Please don't suggest she pay me more, because she can't. Does anyone have any ideas?? I appreciate any serious advice.

  1. Why not try visiting a temp agency?  They might be able to hook you up with a weekends only job or a night job.  Factories often offer these sorts of shifts.  While it won't be amazing pay, you can expect a reasonable salary and possibly even health insurance benefits.

When I was in college, I babysat from 7am-5pm, took classes from 5:45-9:45 and worked 4pm-4am on weekends.  In the factory I worked, it was such an undesirable shift that they paid me for 40 hours even though I only worked 24.  My social life wasn't the greatest and I was tired a lot, but it worked for me and my sister was extremely grateful for all the help I gave her with the kiddos.  In turn, now that I have kids and she's able to stay home from work, she does the babysitting.

    Good luck!

  2. Hello! I babysit, plus I raise my own kids. I needed something more in order to make the ends meet each week. I have found something that works! I work from home from my computer. There are real legit ways to make a good income from home.

  3. It's good that you're helping out family, but $50 a week?? Wow.. Here's a link to a job opportunity, and all you have to do is give away free websites.
