I am interested in finding a local networking group to join here in my community and not sure how to go about finding one? I have asked around to my friends and family and the ones that they are in already have someone in there of my profession. I am not looking for an online one to join, but one that meets atleast once a month. Have any ideas of how to find them? I have googled and researched it the best I could, and have found nothing. I am from Longview, TX

  1. You can start by joining an existing social networking group and slowly discover members from your area. I belong to two right now and it is working out well

I am not sure if you have facebook or Youtube? These are other avenues to find someone in your community

  2. I'm not finding any, either -- why not start your own?  You can likely build a free website sponsored by your internet service provider.

    Best of luck!

  3. Sounds like you're talking more about Rotary Club type organizations, where there is one person from each occupation. Networking groups are open to all, generally.

Longview looks like it's in East Texas (per Mapquest), so have you tried this group?  http://www.etbna.org/
