How do I find a song I can't remember?

I'm looking for a song that came out in 1997. It wasn't a big hit or anything but it was played on the pop radio station...it was kind of a strange song, maybe thats why it wasn't a top hit, by a female singer, pretty sure that was her only song played on the radio. Anyway I was wondering if there's a site I can just type in the year and see what songs came out then (without having to pay, Billboard.com is great but you only get the top 5 songs of that year without paying) I would know it if I saw a list...

  1. You could google exactly what you are asking. And even drill down further by maybe including the geographic area and perhaps the radio stations you heard the song on.

Even further, if you know part of the song lyrics, you can google these as well to discover the song you are seeking.

From there, at least you will know who sang the song, who wrote it, published it etc. As for paying for it, well, that may be a different story. I'm all for paying the artist what they are due.

  3. Go to songfacts.com and then under "browse by year" click on the drop-down menu, select "1997", and then click "Go."
