How do I find free online death records or obituaries?

Does anyone know where I can find local obituaries that date back to 1964? Our local newspapers only date back to the last 7 deaths. The death took place in North Western Indiana. She's a young female (Ages 6-9), possibly a gruesome murder victim. I need to know ASAP please!
