  1. Are you a non for profit organization running a program for studderers?  If not then you can't.


  2. Talk to head start, easter seals society, united way, the school system

  3. You may want to check with your local Child Care Resource and Referral agency, they may have grant information or program enrichment services that are free to utilize.

  4. Talk to your local Health Department. They provided my son with a Speech Therapist in their office once a week. If I wanted more times a week I could travel to the nearest large town for more times a week. They were very helpful when I thought no one else would help me.

  5. You might want to check into your local Head Start program. They have great services for children with disabilities including speech and language delays. You can also have your child evaluated by your local school district. If your child qualifies, the school is required to provide free services for your child.

  6. Contact your county's Region Center. They distribute Federal government funding for children with special needs. If you or someone you are working with has a Speech credential or license, then you can may be able to receive funding through the Regional Center to provide services.

    Children on the Autism Spectrum often qualify of Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy services, so you may want to call someone at a local autism organization and ask your question and give them more details about what your are trying to accomplish. (Autism Society of America, Autism Speaks, etc.)
