Question:

How do I find my WEP code?

I have looked at a lot of sites but none of them have helped.

I'm trying to set up wi-fi for my ds.

A lot of the sites said to go to a site with numbers as the URL or whatever and it always asks for a password and user name and I have no idea how to get in.

I have linksys and my brother installed it so I don't know what to do!

HELP!

  1. clik on the linksys icon and go to security and go to istall other device. then it will have 20 letters and numbers and there goes your WEP code

  2. go to your browser and type thi in the address

    192.168.1.1

Then leave the user blank and the password is admin.

This is you router settings.  Click wireless adminitsrator settings and you shoud see the password in there.  Change it and don't tell him!!

  3. Ask your brother.

If he won't give it to you, you can take matters into your own hands and do a hard reset on the modem and set up a new password. There should be a small button somewhere on your router to do this.

EDIT: It depends on your router, but quite often, the username is exactly the same as the SSID.  The SSID is the name that the network appears under.
