How do I find my genre of music to sing?

Question

I'm pretty sure that question could be worded better but oh well haha

My taste in music has grown over the years and I find myself not only interested in hip-hop, rap, R&B, Reggaeton, etc but in rock, metal, pop, alternative, electronica, etc

My goal in life is to be a singer, performing as well as entertaining

I've been researching and whatnot trying to find my style and how to make it big, If you could help with that also ta very much

Back to my question, how do I find the right genre to sing to? I like singing rock and hip-hop too but as them being two different things it's kind of hard

I've noticed that it's easier for most hip-hop/rap artists to become famous than it is for rock artists

Then there's the whole deal with record labels, I don't know where to start. I've written some songs but I just can't seem to find my sound. Been looking for places to perform also, not many places here in the inlan empire CA

I think you have good taste actually.

Anyway, sing what you are good at and what you love.  The genre doesn't matter as long as you believe what you are singing and it means something to you.  Music should be a way to express yourself.

Well if you sing a lot of the same kind of music that would be where you should be specialized but it depends on natiraly how long can you hold a note how high and how low.

Out of you choices rock,r&b,and pop probably are your genre of music to sing in the best!
