  1. Look around the house for p**p. and it will usually stay in one corner. Hamsters always hide in corners. Also put some food in a couple corners.  always check if some is missing. Then you will know in what area it is.

  2. well to find him i would put out a bucket of food out where u last saw him or where ever he escaped

and put a ladder that ur hammie can climb up

    on the bucket

once ur hammie smells the food he will come to the ladder climb up it and fall in to the bucket then he will not be able to get out and then u will have ur hammie back to cuddle with

  3. get a box trap and put some food in it when it goes to get the food the back will come down and it will be trapped, it wont hurt the little guy. but test it first to make sure it works properly, my parents  had to do this for my gueina pig when i was little

  4. leave a trail of snacks ...it should smell the treats and follow them- try and sit still and listen quietly for it... Tell your family to please be careful not to step on it.

  5. Im sorry i just felt like i needded to say this to fizzle: ok  your my friend and all but for real how could you take my idea and answer a question with it the bucket thing was mt idea and you didnt even say it right you left out alot of important steps (oh and i thought you were "guinea pig expert' not hamster expert!)

Heres the proper hamster finding bucket way (even tho you already found her)

Step 1- fill up 2-5 bukets with hamster food, treats and bedding (maybe even some toys)  and then put them in spots around the house

Step 2-  put a ladder that a hamster can climb up, up to the top of the bucket (you can make the ladder, just get creative)

Step 3- Put a trail of food and treats to each of the ladders ( do this with the buckets all around the house )The hamster with eat all the treats or food and then climb up the ladder since its sence of smell

Step4- Then your hamster will jump or walk into the bucket and not realize it cant get out, You should check the buckets alot because you never know when he wilk go in them

You dont have to pick me as best answer i just felt like i had to tell you the proper sollution and tell her that stuff too -thanks

  6. check your washing machine..behind it..I know they like to go there for some reason...just put some food in a couple corners of the house...also I read to put the cage on the floor open somewhere in the house because the hamster might see the familiar place and get in..make sure they'll be able to climb in though
