Question:

How do I find my passion in life?

I'm feeling vaguely optimistic right now -- I'm starting a new school and I will try to be the person I've wanted to be. I have been mildly depressed before, and I've heard that finding something you really enjoy (like sports) will make you feel like your life has more purpose. The thing is, I don't like sports because I suck at them. My high school has a bunch of clubs, which I guess I should look at. I enjoy math and science, and I don't care if people think of me as a nerdy girl (I might actually like that). I want to find something that I'm good at and that I like, so I can meet people who share some of the same interests.

  1. Sounds like you should look into a math or sci. related club.  Please jump on it because sometimes optimism is fleeting.  You won't regret it!

  2. Sounds like you are on the right track and have a super attitude. Try some of the things that might interest you, and go from there. I wasn't a sports person either, but had fun doing other things instead.

  3. Enjoy the experience of trying new things.  The journey can be just as rewarding as the destination.  You will be more likely to find your passion if you are not afraid of new things, and are willing to create your own passion.

Good Luck to you, and keep up the optimism.
