  1. Try

Copy and paste this into your browsers address bar, then just enter the password 'admin' leave the user name blank

    192.168.1.1

  2. Most routers are http://192.168.0.1 OR http://192.168.1.1

    try both of them

  3. Open a command prompt and type "route print"

One of the last lines should look like this

    Default Gateway:       192.168.1.254

Open firefox and copy/paste the ipaddress

    http://192.168.1.254

Its generally 192.168.1.254 but could be slightly different in your LAN.

  4. Click RUN. When the run box comes up, type cmd , then the DOS command window opens up. Usually C:\Documents and Settings, etc. after the >, type ipconfig/all and the Windows IP Configuration window pops up. Usually buried under "Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection, you'll see "Default Gateway".  This is the IP number of your router (like mine is 192.168.1.254). Type that into your address bar of Firefox or IE, and you'll need to submit the name/password for your router. After that, you can change things around. If you forgot the password you set from before, usually pressing the recessed 'reset' button on the bottom or back of the router will change it back to the default settings.  Good Luck!

  5. I use 192.168.1.1 to get to mine

  6. If you know the make and model http://portforward.com/english/routers/p... may help you

  7. Usually http://192.168.1.1 would bring up the web interface, however some routers may differ. A more appropriate response can be provided if you can post your router's manufacturer and model.

In any case you need to have the login and password of your router (that can be found in the manual), So if the web interface is any different than http://192.168.1.1, it would be in the manual too.

  8. Nearly all routers are http://192.168.1.1 OR http://192.168.0.1 OR http://192.168.2.1

  9. You open a web browser and type in the ip address of the router.  You can find this in the documentation or sometimes on the bottom of the router.

Alternatively, if you have windows, open a command prompt window.  (Use your help if you need to.)  Type ipconfig

The gateway address is the address of your router.

You'll need the router's password to get into the settings.
