Loaded question. Depending on WHO this minor leaguer is and his current status will determine IF you can find out.

If he's on a major league contract, but playing in the minors? The Major League Baseball Players Association would have that information. If he's on the major league 40 man roster but is 18 or more years old with less that 4 years of experience or 19 or more years old with less than three years experience, Baseball America or Minor League Baseball will most likely have news of that player's signing, especially if he was obtained through the draft.

However, if he's on a minor league contract? That information is usually kept confidential between the minor league team and that player. It also depends at what level the player is at and the league minimum for that level of play if the player signed a minimum contract.

I'd tak a shot at googling the player's name and hope there may be a news article or two about his current situation.
