Question:

How do I find out about my family's ancestors?

My grandma is unreliable, and she is the only one who would have a clue. I need to find out about my dad's side of the family. Btw, I think the last name was changed when we came to America.

  1. Write down as much as you can that your Grandmother has to tell you.  It may be a clue to something one day.  If you are really serious about this, it is alot of work, you can go to www.ancestry.com.  You have to pay for the service but, it is well worth it.

You can go to the LDS website and find somethings for free, www.familysearch.org .  Once you have some information and somewhere to start, you can also look at state archives, church records and cemeteries.

    Best of luck!
