How do I find out about the hamster?

I'm getting hamster and I want to find out how to pick one. I'm getting a robo dwarf. And I want one that seems attached to me and that's healthy. How do I find out?

the petstore worker took my hamser out and put her on top of the cage and let her sniff me and he might let you hold it if you ask but you might not want to old it just yet so just stroke it
