Mobberley is so green, dark and quiet... and mega-rich, and so near Prestbury too.  I doubt the local pub has got much history other than richy farmer types getting there for a bit of fun.. and now their richer decendants drinking there.

find the street name and try to locate an old restaurant in that street  make a phone call and speak to the owner or contact the local food vendors they will know some thing or go to yellow pages and see in the restaurant column  if the restaurant is still in function.
