How do I find out history on my house?

address is 10362 286th Road Lancaster, Kansas 66041 It was built in 1894. Owner was James Andrews he married Elizabeth Stirton who died in 1888. He remarried in 1894 and built this house for new wife.

You could probably check property records for the county.  You could also see if the local library has any archives for the area.

The court house might be a good place to start. Go to county records (deeds) and you can trace the owners, you might go to the local library and look at newspapers from around that time to see if anything is found there.
