I am trying to play battlefield 2142 and it keeps saying to be sure to install the install disk which I have, there is only one disk with the game. I have played this game on my pc before and it worked fine. I have two video cards installed and yet my display memory is 0.00. Someone please help.

  1. To find out how much display memory you have you can right click on the desktop and select Properties, then select the Settings tab in there select the display adapter which you wish to find out about. Near the bottom right hand corner you should see an Advanced button, click it. In the window that opens select the Adapter tab. Your information should be there.

I hope that I have helped.

  2. Are you sure that each videocard are SLI or Crossfire compatible? As it appears they're not working together, and that usually means the cards aren't compatible. They must be the same make and model, not two different manufacturer cards and models (one from XFX and the other from BFG, then one is a 8800GT and the other 8800GTS).

Secondly, if you're trying to install it on Vista, there's install issues (like with every newer game made before Vista). Make sure to install the game as an admin. If simply won't install on an user account.

Love that game, and collected even some DICE dev dogtags for good measure. ;)
