How do I find out if I'm on the no-fly list?

I am wanting to get a passport, but I would like to know if I can even get on a plane before I get one. I know that the criteria the government uses is so bogus that people like anti-war protestors are on the list. So how could I find out if I'm on the list or not?

  1. unless your name is bob, suzie or joe. any type of exotic name causes problems. my friend's middle eastern, they always pull her aside for a hand- search. me too, even though im not middle eastern. they are soooo racist.

  2. You have to contact the TSA or FBI.

@Squeakrs: my name is Chris Thompson.  It doesn't get much more common than that.  I'm an "average white guy" born and raised on the east coast and I am on the No-Fly List.  It's not based on racism.  The list is comprised of potential terrorists based on intelligence gathered here an abroad.  If, like me, you happen to share the name of one of those people, you're considered on the list too.

  3. Try Contacting TSA or FBI....A Lot of Americans are on that list Due to Identity theft. It's called the Freedom of Information Act.
