How do I find out if a money order has been cashed by the party I sent it to??

I paid for an ebay item with a money order, and now they have filed a nonpayment strike against me. How can I find out if the MO has been cashed??

go to the place you got the money order with the receipt and they will trace it for you. don't give up the receipt.  they need the number of the money order to trace it. good luck

Call the company that issued the money order, the phone number is usually on the reciept that you kept (you did keep it, right?).

The CS rep wil ask for the numbers on your reciept which will coincide with the numbers on the MO you sent.

Voila! That is the way to find out.

You will need to call the bank where you bought the MO, and give them the serial number from your copy/receipt. They can verify if it has been cashed, and they can provide a copy of the paid MO for your proof.
