  1. go to the towns public libary and you need to search the newspaper articles for key words that relate to your street and house name. thats what they do in the movies anyhow :D

  2. If you're the one who died, its you!

  3. You can ask around, but there is no way to know for sure.   Newspapers don't often print location of death.   Death certificates or coroner records *might* but I am not sure they're open for public searches.

Your real estate agent is required to disclose things that only materially affect the value of the property.   If it was formerly a toxic waste dump, the realtor must tell you.  If there might be a ghost in the house, the realtor does NOT have to tell you.   After all, how can you prove a ghost exists in court?    (I work with realtors)

  4. Ask the agent that sold you the house, ask neighbors, check city records

  5. It might be very difficult / impossible to do so with complete accuracy.

If you live in England or Wales and it is registered land you can find the details of previous registered owners by a Land Registry search - http://www.landsearch.net/landregistry/?...

However, the problem is that if, say, you found that John Doe purchased the house in 1960 you would have to search for years and years beyond that in an attempt to find out when he died.  Also, that would only be the registered owner.  You might find it hard to discover the names of any other people living in the house at the same time e.g., spouse / partner, children or lodgers.

So. perhaps the other suggestion of hiring a psychic may be more reliable!

  6. What possible difference can it make.  People live in houses, they die in houses.  Where are they supposed to die?

  7. Utilize sniffing dogs.

  8. in some states, it's a law that if you ask the real estate agent, they have to tell you. i don't know exactly how they would know if it wasn't just the previous owners, but if your house is old, i would check city records, or the local library in the archive records, like newspaper articles and what not. Good luck!!! and happy hauntings!! LOL

  9. kill a family member, then you know for sure!

  10. cops... they have records......

  11. get a psychic and also review local newspapers as well as talking to the neighbours.  Neighbours are probably the best source for recent history.

  12. call your local psychic.

  13. well if there is an unbearing stench then you know
