  1. Good Question- conduct a massive search, of course.

The First King of England to ASSUME the title was Offa, King of Mercia in 774. The First widely accepted KOE was Egbert in 829...

Check out the Wiki link in my source and find out more about who could have been called the First KOE; this would not be easy in any case, but I wish you luck!

  2. I think if you were along those lines, surely someone or something would have hinted to that at some point. Get off your royal highness and go do an ancestry trace.

  3. Where's Englad !

  4. it all depends on who you accept as the first king of England or the King of the English if you take old Saxon title  then you have to work out all your ancestors form   saxon times

  5. Even if you were (which is almost impossible to source - it's hard enough going back to 1000AD let alone 700AD) what difference would it make? You'd have no title, no right to the current throne and there isn't even a surviving bloodline to link yourself to.

  6. Since his line has been propagating for 1000 years, practically everyone with English or Norman blood is probably a descendant of William I.  As the tree trickles down, however, families become less important and generally less well off.  Most of your lineage is probably through nobodies whose births were either not recorded or whose records no longer exist.  Having you line legitimately traced back 1000 years is a feat few can honestly boast.

  7. conduct a search of your ancestory.
