If your ex left behind any records of bank statements, go through them. Other wise there is no way to compel him to reveal anything to you now.

If he/she had money hidden in interest accounts, the income statements would have been associated with their SS number and would need to be listed on your joint tax returns. If cash was just stored in a checking account - no statement - no way to find it.
