How do I find out my differential pay percentage by calculating by my paycheck?

I work a graveyard shift and our differential's supposed to be

15% and I need to learn how to calculate and determine what percent they're actually paying me by calculating by my pay...they have made mistakes b4 but I had a fellow employee assist me. I would like to learn on my own without asking out of embarassment. Thanks and no critics please.

  1. Take the standard rate for day shift and multiply it by 1.15.  That will give you the proper hourly rate you should get.  Then multiply that by the number of hours.  Overtime requires a different factor but you didn't ask that.
