How do I find out the bare bones about making ethonal fuel for my private use.?

google there's a million sites with recipes. this is what I did. If your creative you can get all the parts free or very cheap and ethanol can be made out of a lot more than corn.  I use apple waste from a local cider plant.  and jello is quite wrong it's perfectly legal provided you take 20 minutes to download, print, fill out and snail mail the BATF fuel producer application it's a pdf file. and this costs you nothing only a promise you will only make fuel and agree to unannounced surprise inspection.(been doing it 2 years and no one showed up yet)

They already ruined it when they jacked the price of corn times 2.  

Plus $600 for the copper to make a still.  

Plus the 6 months it takes to build it.

Plus some kind of barrel to ferment it in.

Plus you got to figure how your going to heat it up to get the sugar out of the corn cheaply.

Plus your going to only make at best a 10% alcohol beer so if you got a burn barrel of 55 gallons and spend day grinding the corn and adding the enzymes and converting the corn to sugar water.

Then Waiting a week or 2 for it to make beer at 10% then spending a day distilling it to get 5.5 gallons of ethenal which is 5% to 10% water if you distilled it like a pro.

Plus figure out a cheap way to heat it up to distil it.

Then you got to figure out how to get the last bit of water out and when your done you got a whole 5.5 gallons of ethenal.

Then your going to say I need to go a lot bigger to make it worth it and give up.

So if your willing to do all that just search the web and you will find a lot of sites.

There are several web sites out there that will sell you a ready made still to produce your own alcohol and contrary to a previous post it is totally legal to do so all  you need is the proper paperwork from BATF. Last time I checked the still was under  two grand
