How do I find out the year and model as well as other info on my Takara bike that I just bought?

The serial number is 74 11 03983. Thanks for the help. I don't see the model on it though....it only says Takara.

Wow, thats a name from the past. I used to sell Takara in the late 70s. They didn't stick around long as a brand but were solid bikes.

The model should be on a decal somewhere on the bike and I can help you with a year if you post the serial number.

EDIT: It was built in (you guessed it) 1974. UNfortunately that is as far as I can go without a model name or picture.
