Question:

How do I find out upgrade info on a paintball gun?

I recently purchased a used Spyder Electra DX. I got fairly cheap as i know it isn't anything more than a rec woods gun. I would however like to upgrade some things that I've heard are subpar on the gun. Bolt, barrel, compression, being the first. However, because it is no longer made I'm not sure if the upgrades being offered fit this particular gun. Any help?

Thanks a million!

  1. As far as a barrel goes, any spyder threaded barrel will work, i suggest a J&J performance ceramics barrel, they are very accurate and affordable. As far as upgrading the bolt, it wont help you much unless you want an acs bolt (again wont help much for slow shooting woodsball) and by compression what do you mean? make it a low pressure gun or buy a new spring kit? as far as both any universal spyder low pressure or spring kit should be fine.

  4. Wow the 1st 2 answers are dead on the money.  I have a Spyder Imagine.  I got a J&J ceramic barrel for it and it was the best $25 i ever spent.  Look around on Ebay and  look up anything you find on pbreview.com (this site is the bomb)  or find it on that site and then shop around for the best price.  I would look for a Delrin bolt if I were you.  Other than that I always like to upgrade my grips.
