  1. How do you know that you owe $2500? Do you have a copy of your credit report?

  2. Te first thing you need to do is get your credit report. That will show you exactly who you owe and how much. You can get your free government related credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com. Then I would speak to a credit specialist to find out how to go about this the right way. Here is a link to the top 5 companies out their. They should all give you a free consultation. www.creditrepairreviews.net.

  3. We have tried to call you to discuss this matter. PLEase call 866-870-8212

  4. Go to annualcreditreport.com and get your credit file. You can get this free once every year without a credit card. Look at the notations and you'll see what collection agencies have your account.

Be careful!  Sometimes doing the "right thing" can backfire with paying old debts.  This debt will come off your credit report naturally in 7 years anyway...if it's really close to that...I wouldn't bother paying.   Contacting debt collectors might trigger aggressive collection activity (and they might even try to sue you) and if you pay your accounts would be noted as "paid/settled" on your credit files...which is still bad.   Making recent payments on old defaults might even make your credit worse.....the credit bureaus have claimed that this issue no longer exists but I wouldn't be so sure.

If you're going to pay anyway, get WRITTEN agreements first from the debt collectors...offer 25% settlements. Make sure that the agreement specifies that they will accept this as payment in full for the account. If you don't get this, they might come back after you for more money. Don't give out your checking account # under any circumstances.
