How do I find out what my friend code is on pokemon diamond?

I dont know what to do. I want to know how i can figure out what my friend code is. I have no idea what to do so walk me through it.

Make sure you have the pal pad already! You get it in the downstairs of the Pokemon Center from the first Nurse Joy (Pink haired lady) you see!

Once you have it go to key items and select Pal Pad, you'll see some selections to choose from! Choose (of course) "Get my friend code"

You'll have to connect to the internet (Wi-Fi) to do this!

ok what you do is you go to the basment/downstairs of the pokemon center then a lady should talk to you and give you a pal pad then you go to your key items and you should find a pal pad select it and it should say (insert characters name here) code and it will show you code and by the way if you want to trade email me @ [e-mail]

Go to basement of Pokemon Center and you will get Pal Pad if you haven't. Have at least one friend code registered in your Pal Pad, and talk to the lady in the between two other ladies, you can access wi-fi if you have connection nearby. When you are connected, go to your Pal Pad and select x*x's friend code. There comes your own friend code!

*x*x = your nickname

First, make sure you have your pal pad.

If you don't then go down stairs and keep going straight and the woman at the service counter will give you your pal pad.

Great now you  have it.

Go into your bag-Key Items and select your pal pad.

Three options should come up.

CHECK FRIEND ROSTER

REGISTER FRIEND CODE

--------'s CODE

Go to -------'s CODE.

It should show you your friend code.

If this doesn't work then I don't know what to tell ya.
