I downloaded a new game and I was told that my video card needs to have updated drivers or be replaced. I need to find out if it's going to be possible to update it before I go buy a new one.

  1. Did your video card come with any software? If not I recommend that you find the box for the video card and read the name of your card. Find out what company makes your card and search up their official website on google. They should have a list of their video cards and you need to choose yours. You should be able to find update drivers for it. If you don't have the box, the only other way I can really think that you could find out is by installing CCleaner. It tells some system spec info that doesn't show up on My Computer. I highly recommend the first one though.

  2. Right-click on My Computer, click on properties. Click on hardware, then click on Device Manager.  Click on the little plus that says display adapters, and it should tell you what you are using for you video card.

  3. Click on Start

    Click on Run

    type dxdiag

    click on the display tab

All your information will be listed under that tab
