It's my mother-in-laws sewing machine that was given to her. It's one of those old ones that's in the desk, it flips up. But it's not old old, cause it doesn't have the pedals, it's electric. We have the serial number. She's not wanting to sell it, she's just curious as to how old it is and what it's worth.

  1. It won't be worth anything unless it's a Singer Featherweight. But if you post pictures of it on a collector message board, someone can probably identify it.

  2. Sadly, older sewing machines like this have no real monetary value unless they are particular makes and models that are sought after by collectors.

  3. There are a number of Yahoo! Groups that she can go to to ask this question. If you go to this page, you can find a group that specializes in the brand of machine your MIL has.

I love my antique machines and my newer ones also.

  4. If its a Singer you can look here...

As far as any vintage machines worth... its worth what someone is willing to offer and what your willing to accept.

ISMACS is a great place to do research as well as The Needlebar group.
