Question:

How do I find out where my great uncle, George Thompson, who emigrated to Australia in the mid 1920's landed.

He was born in 1906 in Scotland. His mother was Isabella and his father Archie Wilson Thompson. Any advice would be appreciated.

  4. The Aussie immigration service will still have records. Send them an email.

  5. There must be immigration records, but you'll probably need to pay a little to access them. You've got a number of choices, genealogy websites can have access to such records, as will government immigration sites. There will be records of passports etc and ship records but some people specialise in this kind of thing on line.
