How do I find the IP address of my wireless adapter?

Is the default gateway the same thing?

The wireless adapter does not have an IP address per se.  It is a dumb unit that looks for a signal and transfer data from an access point.  The IP address comes from the router and is assigned to the computer through the adapter.  If you open a command prompt and type in ipconfig it will give you the IP address it has passed.  Another way is go to Control Panel and Networks.  Look in devices and right click on the adapter.  Select Status then advanced to see all the info being passed.
