I find that usually priceline.com has the best fares.  For example, just this past weekend, I was able to book a rountrip flight from Phoenix to Guadalajara, Mexico for $200 and that's including all taxes and fees.  Now that's what I call a steal.  And I also love that you can try to bid and name your own price for a flight.

You have to do some research. Visit the major travel sites to get an idea of pricing, then try to find deals, coupons etc. to bring that down even more. Start planning in advance to get the best options. Good starting point below:

I always use this flight, if you do an advanced search, then it will give you the chance to compare prices for the days around when you want to travel so you can see when will be cheapest.
