  1. If you can get hold on a rail system table (service lane), it will give the line name, milepost, and yard location.

    Ebay have them now and then.


  2. If you know who owns them.. Like union pacific, CSX, BNSF, Amtrak.. Then just go to yahoo Locals, put in your city, and Put in the name of them. Just the name, not Union pacific trains..

       it works for me. Its how I got the job I have now with Union pacific. I called them up, and paaa I got me a great job!

  3. Well, the simple anser really is follow the tracks but if you look in the yellow pages for railroads, then look for the physical address of the yardmaster that is where you should start.

    The yard tracks will show on almost any map also. You could go outside on a quiet dark night and listen for the cars banging together.
