How do I find the taskbar on Vista?

Suddenly, my task bar on my brand new hp laptop with Vista disappeared. I have tried every suggestion I could find, its not re-sized at the bottom, its not on auto-hide. I've tried looking on both the top and both sides. It's so frustrating, someone please help!!

well, first off, make sure vista is starting explorer when it starts up by pressing ctrl-alt-del about 30 seconds after first starting up your computer. (also I'm not sure if icons or sidebar is starting either so I'm guessing their not) ok, if it isn't then your in trouble. tell me if that's the problem, and i'll post the solution for you :D

Right click on the desktop,hit personalize and on the bottom left click the taskbar options.in the window check all the options to see if they are right

well just try to restore ur system back to an earlier date when it was there, using system tools, restore. or else u know hw to use ur backup disk
