I just got my car, and I'm planning on buying an in dash deck for it. Its a 2001 civic sedan. And I was wondering if there's any way to fit this deck in there. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8456707&type=product&id=1184369165921

I checked bestbuy's can it fit in your car thing and it said it doesnt fit.

  1. yes it will fit, but it's one crappy deck.  save up a little more money so that u don't break it within 2 weeks, and so you can get some cooler options.  just my opinion.  i saved up for the Jensen vm9312hd 7" in dash DVD and got the Nav 101 for it. it was like 550 bucks and it was well worth it.  i will never regret buying it.  best investment i put into my car.  and i have a 96 civic.  and any single din deck will fit into your car.  they are easy to install...if you buy from crutchfield, they give you all the install hardware and directions on how to do it.  good luck.

  2. Shows you what a best buy installer can do for you.  Get it installed at a real shop by somebody older than 16.  Yes i just insinuated that best buy hires 16 year olds to work on your car.

It most definately will fit with a kit, and wiring harness.

  3. Given the right adapter kit, there's no problem fitting that CD player into your car.  This kit: http://www.etronics.com/p-1472-american-... is probably my favorite for a Honda.  You'll also need a wire harness adapter.

This can be a very difficult car if you don't know the trick to it.  Do not try to pry the dash panel off from the front; you'll end up damaging your dashboard.  You need to remove the panels under the dash and take out the screws that secure the radio bracket structure in the rear.  Even then it can be hard to get out.

  4. Stick with M M here. I wouldn't trust the best buy fit guide. Just make sure that the mounting depth is ok. That is the only thing that will keep it from fitting. But, there are ways around it.

A basic pro install will run you anywhere from 50 - 100 dollars plus parts, usually.
