  1. The easiest thing to do is to switch off your PC, restart the router/modem (turn it off and wait 60 seconds) and the restart your PC. Your PC should then be able to connect.

Repost if you still have problems...i'm always happy to help

  2. right click on the icon then click repair.  if that dosnt work it means your router isnt handing out ip address and try a restart of that.

  3. Just take the ethernet wire out of connector and plugin again. If problem still persists, assign an IP address to the lan connection. Still if the problem persists, then really there is no connectivity.

  4. Try repairing the connection, if that doesn't work, if you have a router, try resetting the router, if you don't have a router, then try resetting your modem

  5. So does mine. Because there is nothing plugged into it - I use wireless. So its not a warning - its true, there is NO connectivity, and thats how I like it.

    Ignore.

  6. Check the LAN connection Properties to make sure the TCP/IP properties are set to acquire the IP and DNS server addresses automatically.

Open a Command Prompt window and type "ping 127.0.0.1" at the flashing cursor. Then hit "Enter". If your network card is working, you should get all 4 replies back.
