I already tried 3 different connections all of them tell me "limited or no connectivity." They work fine with the desktops they are originally hooked up to though. Like I said, it connects to the internet fine wirelessly, but I want to hook it up physically with the ethernet cable.

  1. You may have to go into your Windows control panel and find the Network Connections icon and enable or repair your ethernet connection setting there.  If it has an X for the ethernet adapter you can try right clicking on it and select repair.  There is also a small repair program that renews the Windows ethernet settings to get your network adapter working again.  I have used this program to get ethernet adapters working when all else failed.  It is called Winsock XP Fix.

  2. You should check if your router uses DHCP to give out ip addresses for ethernet connections

You need to check your Router configuration page by typing the gateway address in your internet browser check your gateway address via the taskbar
