  1. remove everything & then build it up!

  2. Dell is harder computer wise to fix rather than HP and other companies, my advice, check out Dell.com contact a customer rep online and do a live chat or email them. Sounds to me like you have a fishy virus.

  3. your computer has a assigned button you can push when it boots up. one that allows you to boot into safe mode.

if you can at all access that option it is wise to try this before anything serious.

alot of the times you can find out what program you may have installed that is causing the problem and uninstall it in safe mode and have a working computer again after restart.

or if its a virus, alot of scanners and programs recommend that you do a scan in safe mode when its less likely the virus is running and clear it out then so that your computer will run again.

worse case scenario try and back up your data and reinstall windows. I tend to do this third option all the time. If you own windows and lost the cd key, you might be able to re acquire one from windows. or if you have it great just boot into safe mode and save all your important information to an external source and just go with that. but try the other idea's first.

  4. It sounds like one of the system files or a driver file is corrupted.

    Try this

Restart your computer and before Windows starts press the F8 key and choose the last know good configuration. If that doesn't work restart in as above and choose Safe Mode

Click on Start > Programs > Accessories > Sysytem Tools > Restore

and choose a date when the computer last worked OK.

  5. don't buy dell or hp.

  6. It may be a fatal error that is causing the computer to restart. You can easily stop the restart problem by changing your system

features to restrict automatic startup when your computer's having a problem. Here is how:

Use System Failure Settings to Stop Automatic Restarts.

    1. Click Start and Open the Control Panel

    2. Go to System and Maintenance, Click on System.

    3. Select Advanced System Settings and choose Advance tab.

    4. Under Startup and Recovery, click on Settings.

    5. Under System failure uncheck Automatically restart.

    Hope this helps!
