  1. If it's the rail and you haven't repaired it yourself before, let a shop do it.

  2. there is this good stuff called solarez that can fix most of ur dings

  3. Hey dude, if you're using a tube type repair ie Solarez, Quickfix etc, make sure the board is completely dry and clean of all wax etc. Regardless of whether it is a major ding or a simple hairline crack, get some fine sandpaper, or use the sandpaper provided in your quickfix type kit. Lightly sand the area just to get rid of any glassing that might be standing up etc. You want to get the area somewhat smooth, but don't sand too much.

Take the tube and squirt enough to cover the length of the crack. Then take some clingfilm/ saran wrap whatever you guys call the clear plastic stuff you usually wrap sandwiches in, and put this over the goo you've just applied to the board. Use your fingers to smooth out any air bubbles that may be present. When it looks smooth, either leave the wrap on or take off, put the board in the sun and let it cure. The instructions usually says cures in 15/20 mins, but to be safe leave for about an hour. When it stops feeling sticky/tacky, it's more than likely ready. Take the sandpaper out again and lightly do some sanding to get the board smooth again. Take care at this stage you don't sand too hard or too much as this will take you back to square 1 again.

    Hope that helps.
