Question:

How do I fix a short mattress?

My mattress is to short so my feet hang off of the end. I just bought this bed 2 1/2 years ago and my parents won't let me buy a new one. When I bought it I wasn't the 5 ft. 10in. giant I am now so I didn't think that I needed a bigger bed and I didn't know I was going to grow to this height. My bed is a twin because there is no more room in my room to fit a bigger bed. It is also really uncomfortable because the mattress is just a piece of foam on a wooden board that is holding it up. Here is a picture to show. How do I fix this problem?

  1. You can get big pieces of foam at the Home Depot or Lowes to fit at the end of your mattress.

  2. get a small table that holds you feet and a small foam mattress and cut the mattress to fit you or buy a mattress w/ your $

  3. get alonger board w/foam,or slide the board down some, get a pc of 1x12"pine

add a pc of foam and put in front of the short pc.

  4. I would scoot the mattress down on the frame ( so the foot end might hang over some) and roll up a comforter you aren't using and stick it in between the wall and your mattress. Since your pillow will now be positioned on it, you will have extra room at no cost !!
