How do I fix a virus on my computer?

I received a pop up on my pc saying I have a virus and my computer will freeze soon and when it doesnt all my data will be deleted. What do I do to fix it>? and I keep getting a pop up on the side of the screen from trend micro antivius saying I have a virus. I do the scan but then the pop up keeps happening. what do I do> I will cry if my computer just crashes! help plz

    Sounds like you need a better anti virus program if you keep getting infected.

  5. Run a good anti-virus software like McAfee etc.

    Run a good anti-spyware software like Spybot - Search & destroy.

    use  Good firewall like Comodo etc

    Install Spyware Blaster to help prevent restricted sites.

    One important thing is the fact that you should completely update the Operating System and ALL of the patches. If your machine is patched for the vulnerability on the HD, then YOU cannot get infected. It is the more proactive approach (patching your machine, keeping your software updated, using the most current firmware and drivers). AV is ALWAYS reactive!

  10. It sounds like you need to go into detail.I can personally help you diagnose and fix it,so Mail or IM (preferably IM) me from my profile and we can go into detail.

    Try the AVs that other people listed first,but I don't know if they'll work.This sounds like a poignant virus.
